We are in!

The week has finally arrived. After a very busy weekend of moving everything across and putting it in the right place we are open. We have had an inspection from CQC and NHS England and a few very impressed inspectors have given us the thumbs up. Read more...

The doors and windows are in!

What an exciting day today is! I couldn't wait to get a better photo I just had to share it. As you can see all the windows are in and the door is also in. It transforms the whole building inside and out. The inside has so much more light and we are able to see the shape and sizes of the rooms more clearly. Read more...

The flooring screed is laid!

It's not an exciting photo but it's an exciting time for us. The flooring throughout the whole practice has been laid. The walls and ceiling have all been plastered so everything is really coming together. The picture is taken in the new sterilising room. This room will be the hub of all the instruments and it will have all the latest sterilising equipment. Read more...

Wall colours

Tonight we discussed wall colours.Again lots of tricky decisions but we were all in agreement! We have made a bold decision of 'Luscious Lime' on our feature wall in the main waiting area. We hope you like it . Read more...

Choosing the floor!

We took a visit to the site last week to try and decide on the flooring in the main waiting areas. We concluded there is a lot of choice!! We have narrowed the colours down to a grey wood effect and a gorgeous warm dark wood for the private waiting areas. The final design is still a work in progress. Read more...

Chair colours

This week has seen the most 'discussions' on the colour of the chairs in the surgeries. We have discovered the whole feel of the room is determined by the colour of the chair. Our choices were grey, sparkly black, mint, green and purple. We think we have chosen 4 chairs in the wonderful warm purple and one surgery is to have the sparkly black! Read more...

It's got to get worse before it gets better!!!

So the building work has started. Phil and his team moved in last week, it took few days to set up and confirm plans and then the destruction phase started! This picture shows what will eventually be the reception area and the new waiting rooms. The big window along the back lets in a lot of lovely light throughout the day but we feel it may get a bit toasty so we are putting in a new wall to break up that window. The new staff car park

Last week we saw the next stage of the development which is a staff carpark. There has been a new fence erected between us and the neighbours and the first layer of tarmac put down. We are waiting for the gates to complete the look but I think you will agree it looks so much better! Read more...
